Toyota Motor announced on March 23, 2020 that Toyota will temporarily halt seven production lines in its five plants in Japan from April 3 in response to fluctuations in demand due to coronavirus outbreak.
The production lines will temporarily suspend at the Takaoka and Tsutsumi plants in Toyota city, Aichi Prefecture, Tahara plant in Tahara city, Miyata plant of Toyota Motor Kyushu in Miyawaka city, Fukuoka Prefecture, and Hamura plant of Hino Motors, a group company.
