Kurabo Industries acquires Seiki and strengthens FA business

On February 1, 2021, textile maker Kurabo Industries made SEIKI a wholly owned subsidiary. SEIKI manufactures factory automation equipment. The acquisition price is not disclosed.

Kurabo Industries will incorporate SEIKI’s technology and know-how to further expand its factory automation-related business.

SEIKI is headquartered in Uozu City, Toyama Prefecture, and has a lot of experiences in the manufacture of factory automation equipment over 40 years. Its strengths are its ability to develop equipment and respond quickly to customer requests. Sales for the fiscal year ending March 2020 are approximately 3.7 billion yen.
