The background factors include a sudden rise in raw material prices and rising labor and logistics costs.

OSG revises the prices of cutting and rolling tools from orders received on June 1, 2018.　Price revisions include HSS tap, cemented carbide taps, cemented carbide drills, and thread cutting tools. The price increase range is from 5 to 15%. Rolling dies price increases by 10%. In addition, Mitsutoyo announces that they will raise the standard prices of measuring tools from July 1, 2018.

The price of approximately 30,000 products such as micrometers and calipers are raised by 10%.
