Shoei Industry held Technical Fair

Shoei Industry, a distributor of machine tool and peripheral held “37th Shoei Technical Fair” at Messepia, Sanjo City, Niigata Prefecture on May 11 and 12, 2018.  Sixty-four companies participated at STF and attracting more than 1,200 visitors.  This year marks the 35th anniversary of the opening of the Nagaoka Branch of Shoei Sangyo.  The company will move to a new office this fall to increase the number of employee.  The 37th STF was held to mark the 35th anniversary of the company’s establishment.

At the opening ceremony, President Toshiaki Hirasawa stressed that “new concepts such as AI and IoT are spreading at a remarkable speed. I am convinced that the future of the manufacturing industry will be brighter.”

Modia Systems which exhibited at STF for the first time, introduced the small NC processing machine “MM100EX”.

It is equipped with a fiber laser head and can respond to customization requests. At STF, technical seminars were held, and Okamoto Machine Tool Works gave a lecture on the prospects of the automotive industry.
