Amada Machinery has released the PCSAW-430AXII, a new band saw designed for high-speed and stable cutting with lower environmental impact.
The machine features a newly developed Variable Pulse Cutting technology that improves cutting speed and consistency while reducing cutting resistance.
Amada’s conventional pulse cutting technology enhances cutting performance by applying constant pulse vibrations to the high-speed rotating blade.
The new Variable Pulse Cutting technology goes further by adjusting the pulse frequency based on the material type, shape, blade type, and cutting conditions, optimizing performance and significantly lowering cutting resistance. The PCSAW-430AXII is equipped with a powerful 11 kW blade motor, enabling high-speed cutting using Amada’s AXCELA carbide blade.
Thanks to this combination, the machine achieves up to 30% faster cutting speeds compared to previous models.
To reduce power consumption, the PCSAW-430AXII uses an “Eco Pump” system that activates the hydraulic pump only as needed.
This feature cuts energy consumption by approximately 50% during standby and 10–20% during cutting operations.
The machine is also compatible with Amada’s V-factory IoT platform, which enables visualization of operating status and maintenance information.
This connectivity helps increase overall machine utilization and efficiency on the shop floor.
