Oriental Motor expands motion range of compact OVR robot series

New SCARA models enable full-direction operation in tight spaces

Oriental Motor launched two new SCARA robots—OVR3046K10-H and OVR3070K3-H—as part of its compact “OVR” series on April 25, 2025. The company also introduced the EL series, a motorized lifting unit compatible with OVR and other robots.

The newly released SCARA models support full-directional movement, allowing access to areas that were previously difficult to reach. Their slim design makes them well-suited for environments with limited vertical space. The OVR3046K10-H offers a maximum reach of 460 mm and a payload capacity of 10 kg, while the OVR3070K3-H features a 700 mm reach and a 3 kg payload. Both models can also be ceiling-mounted.

Versatile lifting unit supports various robots

The EL series lifting unit supports not only the OVR series but also other types of robots. It is available in stroke options ranging from 50 mm to 300 mm. Robot cables can be routed internally within the lift to reduce external clutter.

With a single Oriental Motor controller, users can control up to two axes, including a SCARA robot, a lifting unit, and optionally an electric gripper driven by the company’s motors.
