Makino Milling Machine held a private show at its Nagoya Technical Center in Moriyama-ku, Nagoya, on June 26 and 27. The two-day event attracted around 500 visitors.
The exhibition featured nine machining centers, including the newly released vertical machining center (VMC) from the V series and the horizontal machining center (HMC) “a51nx,” which is suitable for a wide range of machining applications.
In addition to machine exhibits, the event focused on demonstrating functions that support high-precision machining and improved productivity. For example, the a51nx was equipped with “Feed Optimizer,” a function that automatically increases feed rates during air cutting to shorten cycle times, and “Process Tracer,” which monitors spindle load to prevent machining defects caused by setup errors. A machining demonstration was conducted using two identical workpieces, effectively showcasing the performance and benefits of each feature.
