The specialized exhibition Measuring Technology Expo 2025 was held at Tokyo Big Sight (Koto-ku, Tokyo) from September 10-12, with around 60 companies and organizations presenting technologies aimed at improving measurement efficiency.
Tokyo Seimitsu (operating under the brand ACCRETECH) showcased its optical shaft shape measuring system Shaftcom, unveiling a newly developed option for gear evaluation. The option enables measurement of spur and helical gears. “Normally, dedicated gear testing machines are used for gear measurement, but with this option, Shaftcom alone can also handle gears,” explained Masato Mineo, Executive Officer of its Metrology Company. The company also introduced several other new products, including the Insightcom 160 X-ray CT system for measurement applications.
Kosaka Laboratory (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Iichiro Kosaka) presented its wireless surface roughness tester SE300pro as a reference exhibit. The unit connects wirelessly to a tablet for displaying measurement values and data. With its integrated amplifier design, the compact device is easy to carry. The built-in battery can perform up to 2,000 measurements on a single charge.
