Okamoto Machine Tool Works exhibited four grinding machines at the showroom of its Osaka sales office, including the CNC profile grinding machine “HPG500NC,” one of the company’s popular models.
The “HPG500NC” retains the manual handle operation of conventional machines while enabling high-precision grinding cycles and wheel forming through conversational software.
The machine cover is made of stainless steel to improve durability.
“There are fewer craftsmen who can perform wheel forming on general-purpose lathes,” said Shoji Nomura, Manager of the Osaka Sales Office. “With the HPG500NC, positioning and other operations can be performed using the NC system, allowing easier wheel forming.”
The showroom also featured several other grinding machines, including the surface grinder “PSG63SA1” equipped with a large touch panel and the “PSG64CA-iQ,” which incorporates Okamoto’s proprietary interactive software.
The cylindrical grinding machine “OGM250EXⅢ,” equipped with automatic dressing and compensation infeed functions, was also exhibited.
