SHIMADZU announced on August 8, 2019 that its affiliated corporation, Tianjin-Shimadzu Hydraulic Equipment, would build a new plant in the Xiqing Economic-Technological Development Area. The construction of new plant will finish in September 2020.
The amount of investment is about 2 billion yen, and the total floor area is about 17,000 square meters. The company manufactures hydraulic gear pumps and control valves for forklift trucks.
In China, the volume of goods has been increasing by spreading e-commerce (EC), and the forklift market also has been expanding.
The production capacity of hydraulic gear pumps will be 300,000 units per year in fiscal 2023, which is twice of conventional ratio.
