Mikasa Electrician Department holds control panel conference

Mikasa Electrician Department, which designs and manufactures control panels, held “2nd Control Panel World Conference” in Yokohama on October 19th, 2017 and Nagoya on 24th, 2017. Approximately 400 people, mostly from machine tool manufacturers, attended in two days.

At the conference, lectures were given by control panel and control equipment manufacturers from around the world.

Masashi Murakami, president of Ilme Japan, introduced how to select appropriate connectors from the viewpoint of safety. An exhibition booth was provided at the venue, where control panel and control equipment manufacturers exhibited their products. Beckhoff Automation, a Germany affiliate, demonstrated a palm-sized industrial PC “C6015”.

Misaka held the conference for the first time in 2015 to encourage Japanese machine manufacturers to understand European and North American safety standards for electrical control, including UL and CE standards.

The next conference is scheduled to be held in 2019.
