On January 21, 2020, Toshiba Carrier announced the establishment of a new manufacturing subsidiary in Gniezno, a city in western Poland. The investment for the new plant amounts to 3.0 billion yen, and operations are scheduled to begin by the end of 2020.
The new factory aims to strengthen Toshiba Carrier’s business in the European market, where demand for air conditioning, heating, and hot water equipment is expected to continue growing. The company plans to reduce lead time to about two-thirds and lower costs. Additionally, Toshiba Carrier will enhance its lineup of products tailored to local needs.
