Mazda launches 100th anniversary special edition models in Japan

April 7, 2020

Mazda Motor announced on April 3, 2020 that it has begun selling a 100th anniversary special edition series across all models available in the Japanese market. The commemorative models feature a red and white color scheme inspired by Mazda’s first passenger car, the R360 Coupe, which was launched in 1960.

Special design with centennial logo

The 100th anniversary editions adopt a special motif that highlights Mazda’s heritage. Both the exterior and interior incorporate the 100th anniversary logo, reflecting the brand’s milestone in design and engineering. The red and white theme represents the iconic styling of the R360 Coupe.

Limited offer and future overseas rollout

These anniversary models are available for a limited time in Japan, from April 3, 2020 to the end of March 2021. Mazda also plans to introduce the special edition series in overseas markets following the domestic release.
