Nakamura-Tome started machine tool subscription service

Nakamura-Tome Precision Industry has started a machine tool subscription service “Strike” in September 2020, that allows the customers to rent machine tools by paying monthly flat fee. Even companies that are reluctant to make capital investment because it is difficult to prepare a tidy amount of expenses can flexibly increase their production capacity by using this service.

The monthly flat fees include the cost of insurance, maintenance, transportation, property taxes, and software upgrades. The contract period can be selected from a 3-year or 5-year plan. Customers can choose to renew or end up their contracts or to buy out the machines on a yearly basis. After the contract period expires, the customer chooses to buy or return the machine.
