Wide range of machining with the world’s smallest class tool spindle

September 27, 2019

Nakamura-Tome Precision Industry unveiled the ATC type multitasking machine with twin turret JX-250 equipped with the world’s smallest class tool spindle at the EMO Hannover 2019.

The full length of tool spindle is 349mm, which is 22.4% shorter than previous models, and machining range is wider. The travel of the tool spindle is X1-axis 645mm, Y1-axis ±125mm, Z1-axis ±825mm. The maximum tool spindle speed is 12,000 rpm.

JX-250 also standardizes a variety of software, such as NT Thermo Navigator AI, which is equipped with artificial intelligence (AI). Target markets are a wide range of industries, including automobiles, aerospace, medical equipment, and precision machinery.

Nakamura-Tome Precision Industry also showcased software at the EMO Hannover 2019, including Zero Touch and Smart Support, which significantly shorten the time to program, ATC Maintenance Navigator, which improves maintainability, and NT Smart Sign, which monitors the operating condition of machines.
