On February 1, 2021, Kurabo Industries, a company best known for its textile operations, made Seiki a wholly owned subsidiary. Seiki specializes in the development and production of factory automation (FA) equipment. The acquisition price has not been disclosed.
By incorporating Seiki’s expertise, Kurabo aims to expand its FA-related business, leveraging Seiki’s technological capabilities and customer responsiveness.
Headquartered in Uozu City, Toyama Prefecture, Seiki has over 40 years of experience in manufacturing FA equipment. The company is known for its ability to develop custom solutions and respond quickly to specific customer needs. For the fiscal year ending March 2020, Seiki posted sales of approximately 3.7 billion yen.
Kurabo plans to utilize Seiki’s technology and know-how to enhance its competitiveness in the growing field of factory automation.
