Donate Street Lights to Iwata City

NTN announced on February 2, 2018, that it donated two “NTN Hybrid Street Lamps,” which generate electricity using wind and sunlight, to Iwata City, Shizuoka Prefecture.

Street lights were installed at the entrance square of the Ryuyo Ocean Park in the southwestern part of Iwata City and at the top of the Ryuyofuji, evacuation areaof the tsunami.

It is used as a guide lamp to an evacuation area or as a disaster prevention light.

Last August, the company announced that it would donate a total of 17 street lights to five regions in Japan as part of its 100th anniversary project.

One of  its production site, Iwata works, which manufactures automotive parts, is located in Iwata City.
