Takamatsu Machinery (TAKAMAZ), a manufacturer of NC lathes for the automotive industry, has completed construction of its new “Asahi Factory” next to the company’s main factory. A completion ceremony was held on February 7, 2022, and attended by about 25 participants, including President Soichiro Takamatsu and representatives from the construction company.
The new facility has a total floor area of approximately 12,000 square meters, with an investment of about 3.5 billion yen. Operations are scheduled to begin in April 2022. The factory will be used for machine tool assembly and parts processing, aiming to strengthen TAKAMAZ’s production system in response to rising demand.
The Asahi Factory is equipped with state-of-the-art machinery to support efficient production. In addition to productivity improvements, TAKAMAZ has taken steps to enhance the working environment, incorporating considerations aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
