IDC Japan, an IT-focused research company, released its market forecast for domestic commercial robots on February 15, 2018.
The robot market consists of three types: industrial robots, service robots, and drones. IDC Japan predicts that the compound annual growth rate will be 18.3% and the expenditure will be 2,123.6 billion yen by 2021. In particular, the company expects the domestic market for industrial robots to increase to 1,485 billion yen in 2009 through the development of intelligent technologies using AI.
