NGK Spark Plug launched a new company, “Sharing Factory,” in March 2018. The new company provides services to broker machine tool and measuring equipment loans among manufacturing customers.
Over the past few years, the manufacturing industry has been required more to respond flexibly to changes in the external environment. NGK Spark Plug has been applying the concept of a “sharing economy” to the manufacturing industry, which makes use of common places and common items. The establishment of the new company was aimed at boosting the competitiveness of customer companies.
