On February 22, 2018, The Japan Society for Precision Engineering（JSPE） held a seminar in Tokyo.
The theme is “Forefront of Smart Factory.” More than 80 people participated from manufacturers of automobiles, machine tool and universities (photo).
Yasuyuki Nishioka, president of the Industrial Value Chain Initiative (IVI), gave speech. Under the title of “Creating a Future by Connecting Factories with Data,” he presents the vision of manufacturing that Japan should aim for in the future based on the efforts of IVI.
In addition, YKK’s Vice President, Wataru Otani, discussed Internet of Things utilization based on the integrated manufacturing philosophy with a management perspective. A total of six lectures were given.
