On February 16 and 17, 2018, machine trading company G-NET hosted “Osaka Machining System Exhibition” at Intex Osaka, Osaka City (photo). A total of 126 companies from machine tool, peripheral equipment, and software manufacturers participated. Approximately 2000 people visited the two-day event.
Reflecting the strong market, many visitors showed lively expressions. At the opening ceremony, President Ryuhei Furusato said, “I hope that visitors will bring back new wisdom from the exhibition to prevent technologies from becoming commoditize.” At a special areas set up for robotics/automation, deburring, and mechanical maintenance, visitors showed great interest in the solutions offered in each area.
In addition, G-NET improved visitor management with the barcode reading system introduced last year to support direct input. Ten tablet terminals for questionnaire responses were set up at the exit. Machining Systems Exhibition was held on March 16 and 17 at Port Messe Nagoya, attracting many visitors. The exhibition will also be held in Okayama city in June 2018.
