Industry-government-academia project

CMI, an industry-government-academia collaboration project that jointly develops aircraft manufacturing technology, completed its first phase in March this year and began its second phase in April, 2018.

CMI is a project promoted by Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, the University of Tokyo’s production technology research laboratory, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Subaru, etc.

Currently, 26 companies, including SMEs, participate. CMI achieved high precision machining with 5-axis processing machine. The second term it will continue to aim for innovative technological development.
