Yamazen, a Japanese trading company, announced on January 31 that it has started the full operation of its distribution base for the eastern part of Japan, equipped with the latest facilities and equipment.
The base is Yamazen’s first to be equipped with a Logistics Management System (LMS) and Warehouse Management System (WMS). The company aims to visualize logistics costs and optimize product prices. In addition, to increase the efficiency and automation of inbound/outbound warehouse operations, the facility has also installed the latest material handling equipment, such as automated equipment and sorters. This increases the productivity of the warehouse.
The base uses recyclable materials for fixtures, such as cardboard pallets and paper padding. It also serves as a model base for the environmentally friendly practice of “green logistics”.
