Consolidated financial results for the period showed that net sales increased 5.1% year-on-year (YoY) to 527,263 million yen, operating income decreased 3.3% YoY to 16,563 million yen, ordinary income increased 1.1% YoY to 17,280 million yen, and profit attributable to owners of the parent company increased 4.2% YoY to 12,527 million yen, with record highs in both net sales and net income. Sales in the domestic machinery business increased 13.1% YoY to 88,498 million yen, supported by solid results from machine tool orders for semiconductor manufacturing equipment and construction machinery won in the previous fiscal year.

For the fiscal year ending March 31, 2024, the company forecast sales growth of 4.3% YoY to 550,000 million yen. President Kishida, who has served as president since April this year, said, “We will proactively do what is necessary and boldly move forward with strong determination“. After the fellowship meeting, a reception was held for the first time in four years. Participants enjoyed sharing information and chatting in a friendly atmosphere.
