NIDEC OKK (Itami City, Hyogo Pref.; President: Haruhiko Niitani) held an open house on October 13 at the Tokyo Technical Center in Saitama City, co-sponsored by NIDEC Machine Tool (Ritto City, Shiga Pref.; President: Haruhiko Niitani), and 14 companies, including peripheral equipment manufacturers, also exhibited. The event was divided into morning and afternoon sessions and was attended by 110 pre-registered participants.
Vertical machining centers (MCs) and small precision machining machines were exhibited at the private show (=photo). The focus was on automation and labor saving, as shown by a demonstration of “CRASYS”, which automatically changes pallets with a robot.
Mr. Tadakuma Takeo, Managing Director of NIDEC OKK, Machining Center Division Sales Dept. said, “There is a high demand for labor-saving changeover setups, and we are currently putting special emphasis on it. To save labor, it is important not only to improve the performance of the machine, but also to cooperate with the manufacturers of peripheral equipment”. Special seminars were also held on site at 15-minute intervals. Sponsoring manufacturers took the stage to talk about their latest technologies and development policies.
