Shibaura Machine opens second factory in Chennai to meet growing demand

On July 12, Shibaura Machine announced the opening of its second factory adjacent to its existing facility in Chennai, India. This expansion is designed to increase the company’s sales in the Indian market and surrounding regions, primarily to meet the growing demand for injection molding machines in the automotive, IT and medical sectors.

State-of-the-art facility triples production capacity

The new facility covers 16,000 square meters, approximately double the size of the existing plant. It is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including large cranes, advanced paint lines and an automated warehouse. With this new addition, Shibaura Machine expects to triple its annual production capacity for injection molding machines.
