NTN starts mass production of low dust generation bearing for servo motors

NTN has announced the start of mass production of its “Low Dust Generation Bearing for Servo Motors,” which are widely used in industrial robots, machine tools, and other precision equipment. The new bearing adopts specially developed low dust grease and a newly designed seal with enhanced sealing performance. As a result, dust generation from the bearing has been reduced by approximately 90% compared with conventional products, while torque has been reduced by about 50%. The ability to significantly suppress dust generation—helping prevent grease components from adhering to encoders or brake discs inside servo motors—has been highly evaluated by major motor manufacturers, leading to the start of mass production.
