Tokyo Seimitsu (operating under the brand ACCRETECH) has enhanced its technical support network for customers in central Japan, one of the company’s key markets for precision measuring instruments. The company’s subsidiary Tosei Engineering (Tsuchiura, Ibaraki; President: Koichi Tange) recently completed a new Nagoya Plant in Togo-cho, Aichi Prefecture, where Tokyo Seimitsu has established the Chubu Metrology Center. The new facility expands the showroom area by more than 2.5 times compared to the previous site in nearby Miyoshi City and features around 20 state-of-the-art measuring instruments and automation systems on permanent display.
To commemorate the opening, Tokyo Seimitsu held a private exhibition on September 18–19, attracting around 700 visitors.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the opening of the Chubu Metrology Center.
Around 20 advanced measuring systems are permanently on display in the showroom.
The Chubu Metrology Center showcases Tokyo Seimitsu’s latest precision measurement technologies, including the ZEISS SPECTRUM coordinate measuring machine (model updated in August 2025), the SURFCOM NEX 200 surface texture and contour measuring instrument, and the Insightcom 160 X-ray CT system for measurement applications. The facility also provides enhanced technical services such as measurement evaluation, customer training, and solution proposals using the displayed equipment.
At the opening ceremony on September 16, Ryuichi Kimura, President and CEO of Tokyo Seimitsu stated: “The Chubu region is home to many of our valued customers. This facility—second in scale only to our Tsuchiura Metrology Center—marks a new start, with customer satisfaction as our ultimate goal.”
The Nagoya Plant, newly completed by Tosei Engineering, produces equipment such as grinders compatible with hybrid bonding technology for high-density semiconductor packaging. It also manufactures custom-designed measuring systems tailored to customer specifications. The two-story steel-structured facility has a total floor area of approximately 13,000 m².
Hitoshi Yoshida, Chairman of Tokyo Seimitsu commented: “This is the first site where both our Semiconductor Manufacturing Equipment Company and Precision Measuring Instruments Company operate under one roof. We want this plant to embody the spirit of ‘One Tokyo Seimitsu.'” The company plans to further pursue synergies between its two divisions to expand business opportunities.
