More accurate and faster machining of complex shapes

Citizen Machinery has developed the “Miyano BNE-65ATC,” a fixed-headstock CNC automatic lathe. One station on one of the two turrets features B-axis functionality capable of approaching workpieces from both front and back. This enables milling and drilling at any angle, allowing more accurate and faster machining of complex-shaped workpieces.

The new model is equipped with an automatic tool changer (ATC) capable of handling up to 24 tools. The twin turret can accommodate 66 tools—1.4 times more than conventional models—allowing multiple machining programs to be switched without setup changes when spare tools are prepared.

While maintaining the same ease of operation as previous models, the machine achieves further space savings, delivering high productivity even in limited installation areas. Structurally, the machine adopts a heavy-duty slant bed with integrated casting that facilitates efficient chip evacuation and high-rigidity sliding guides, enabling heavy-duty cutting operations.
