Nakamura-Tome Precision Industry launches “JX-50” multitasking machine with compact design and high-speed machining

Designed for complex machining in limited space

Nakamura-Tome Precision Industry launched the “JX-50,” a new multitasking machine, on July 1.

Demand has been growing for small, complex-shaped parts in precision component machining, particularly in the medical sector. The JX-50 was developed to meet growing demand for high productivity in space-constrained manufacturing environments. The machine supports simultaneous 5-axis machining while combining a compact footprint with high-speed machining performance.

The tool spindle unit is the company’s proprietary “NT Smart Cube,” featuring a maximum spindle speed of 30,000 rpm and helping shorten machining times.

The machine is also equipped with an automatic tool changer (ATC) capable of storing up to 60 tools as standard. With optional expansion, tool capacity can be increased to a maximum of 119 tools. Additional ATC magazines are mounted vertically, allowing expansion without increasing the machine’s installation footprint.

Including the chip conveyor, the machine measures 4,264.4 mm wide by 2,378 mm deep, making installation easier in space-constrained environments.

We developed the JX-50 in response to these needs from the shop floor.”
