Long-edge insert was added to the FMAX series of milling cutters for finishing aluminium alloys.
It is possible to shorten the machining time without the need for intermediate finishing since the bumps generated through rough machining of the cast part can be removed by finishing machining.
The material is sintered diamond to suppress burrs caused by damage of the cutting edge, thereby realizing a long life.
