Sumitomo Heavy Industries establishes new plant for compact gearmotor in Mexico

Affiliated corporation in Mexico of Sumitomo Heavy Industries held the opening ceremony of the Queretaro Plant, compact gearmotors assembly plant on April 11, 2019.

The Queretaro Plant will be the fourth largest manufacturing site in Mexico, following Mexico City, Monterrey and Guadalajara.

The amount of investment is closed, and the building area is 1000 square meters. The new factory is located in Bahio area, where the automobile industry is concentrated.

The company will build a supply system in cooperation with the other three manufacturing sites and aim to provide a stable supply of compact gearmotor “HYPONIC Gearmotor”.
