Yamaha Motor has newly developed a next generation model of small type SCARA robot YK400XR. The largest loading capacity is 4 kg, which is 1.4 times larger than the conventional one, and the normal cycle time is 0.41 sec, which is 10% shorter by improving the rigidity of the arm and the performance of the controller. The position of the fastening bolt is compatible with conventional robot and is easy to replace. In addition, the improved trajectory accuracy is suitable for sealing operations for applying precision assembly and sealing materials for airtightness.
