The Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association held the 46th Tokyo Motor Show 2019 at Tokyo Big Sight and other locations from October 24 to November 4, 2019. The exhibition was held for 12 days, two days longer than the previous exhibition in 2017, and 1.3 million people visited. This was about 70% higher than the previous exhibition, exceeded the number of 1 million for the first time since 2007. Not only visitors are interested in the new and concept models of the automotive manufacturers, but also the quality of the event improved, which led to an increase in visitors.Both Ariake and Aomi pavillion of Tokyo Big Sight are all allocated to the event, and the exhibition area is the largest ever.
“FUTURE EXPO” area where visitors can experience the future was prepared in collaboration with other industries such as electronics and IT. “Mobility theme park” that transcends the industry was realized, and new ideas were elaborated. For example, Toyota Motor presented a future vision of the motor show by offering a number of experience-based exhibits where the children can play in addition to car display.
