Hamamatsu Photonics has developed a compact Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) spectrometer “FTIR engine C15511-01” offering high sensitivity to near-infrared light with a wavelength of 1.1 to 2.5 µm.
The new product uses its original microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) technology. The FTIR analytical instrument incorporating the spectrometer can be portable size, and is expected to be applied to real-time monitoring of chemicals on production lines and ingredient analysis of agricultural products in the field. Hamamatsu Photonics will start to receive orders from domestic and overseas analytical instrument manufacturers on February 3, 2020.
