NITTO KOGYO announced on February 25, 2020 that it will acquire a plant construction site in Seto City, Aichi Prefecture. The company has decided to acquire land to expand its production system in the switchboard-related manufacturing business and to relocate deteriorated Nagoya plant. The investment amount is about 20 billion yen and the site area is 250,077 square meters. The plant building has a total floor area of 36,000 square meters, and the office building has a three-stories with total floor area of 4,000 square meters. At the new plant, cabinets, high-voltage power receiving equipment, distribution boards, and breakers will be produced. The new plant is scheduled to begin production in April 2024.
