Brother Industries, manufacturer of printers, sewing machines and machine tools, announced on February 26, 2020 that it will construct a new building at its Mizuho Plant in Mizuho-ku, Nagoya. The total project cost is expected to be about 40 billion yen. The new building has nine floors and a total floor area of about 74,000 square meters. The new building is scheduled to be completed by 2024. As the existing Mizuho Plant is aging and the business space is getting smaller, therefore the company decided to build a new building. The existing buildings will be demolished after operations commence at the new office building in 2024.
