Nissan’s new crossover EV “Ariya” made its China debut at Auto China 2020

Nissan Motor unveiled the new crossover EV ” Ariya” at the Auto China 2020 on September 26, 2020. The Ariya is a fusion of two Nissan’s strengths of EVs and crossover SUVs. Embodying power and performance in a connected car, it represents the latest in the Nissan’s integrated, cutting-edge “Nissan Intelligent Mobility technologies”. The Ariya is scheduled to go on sale in China in 2021.

Makoto Uchida, Nissan CEO said, “Chinese customers are fast-evolving and have great enthusiasm and acceptance for advanced automotive technologies. For Nissan, China will play a central role as a core market. We’re coming with a more exciting lineup for our Chinese customers.”

Nissan also announced plans to launch seven new models in China by 2022. In addition, it plans to launch nine models of EV or an electric powertrain vehicle driven by e-POWER in the Chinese market by 2025.
