CITIZEN MACHINERY has launched the Sliding Headstock Type CNC Automatic Lathes “Cincom L32” equipped with an original residual material reusing function. The residual material is the uncut material that remains between the spindle chuck that grips the material and the guide bush that holds the cutting point, which was a problem when using the Sliding Headstock Type CNC Automatic Lathes.
CITIZEN uses its original technology that softens the material with frictional heat and joins the materials together at high pressure. Then the material gripped by the joining clamp device and the other material to be loaded are joined. The remaining material, which used to be 200 to 300 mm, has been reduced to about one-fifth. L32 maximizes the use of materials and reduces environmental impact and costs. The maximum joint diameter is 25 mm in diameter, and the maximum residual material length is 325 mm.
