Japan Machine Tool Builders’ Association announced on January 7, 2021 that they forecasted the total machine tool order in 2021 would be 1200 billion yen.
JMTBA sees the domestic order will be 450 billion yen and the foreign order will be 750 billion yen. The chairman, Yukio Iimura (= chairman of Shibaura Machine) explained that there are some negative impacts remained from the pandemic of COVID-19 and international safety assurance, though, there also many of positive signs for capital investment like Chinese recovery, the establishment of the new political administration in US and Japan and so on.
