The Instrument & Control Engineering Conference 2017

From October 11 to 13, 2017, Japan Management Association held “Instrument & Control Engineering Conference 2017” (= photo) at Mita hall in Minato-ku, Tokyo.

Internet of Things(IoT), a trend in the entire manufacturing industry, is also deeply involved in the field of instrumentation. As the 48th time this year, the overall theme was “smart instrumentation and control realized by Internet of Things”.

On the first day, Azbil, Yokogawa Electric, and JGC gave lectures on the theme of “process automation.” In the panel discussion, they sorted out the past of the instrumentation systems from a wide range of perspectives, and discussed what they should be in the future.

On the second day, NTT Communications gave a lecture on cybersecurity under the theme of “Safety”. On the third day, JFE Engineering gave a speech on smart facility management and operation monitoring, the theme of “Smartness of Plant Equipment Management”.
