THK expands IoT services: OMNI edge can be available overseas

THK, a linear guide maker, will start overseas support for the IoT service “OMNI edge” from February 3, 2021.

OMNI edge is a service that visualizes the operating status of THK’s “LM Guide” and ball screws. THK has expanded its services and OMNI edge is available by global SIMs for data communication systems.

The target customers are Japanese companies with factories overseas. Users can use OMNI edge through overseas communication networks while they are in Japan. Users can visualize the operating status of LM guides and ball screws at overseas factories. The target countries are the United States, Thailand, Indonesia, and China. The price of global SIM is 10,000 yen per device per month.
