Okuma, a leading Japanese machine tool builder, opened the West Japan CS Center in Fukuyama City on May 6, 2021. The facility serves as a hub for strengthening sales and service operations across the western Japan region, which includes the Okayama and Hiroshima prefectures, as well as the Shikoku and Sanin regions.
The company relocated and expanded its previous sales office from Okayama Prefecture to Fukuyama to enhance regional customer support. The new center is designed to provide community-based service and sales activities tailored to local customer needs.
The West Japan CS Center includes a 200-square-meter showroom that displays six of Okuma’s latest machine tools, including 5-axis machines. The showroom is also equipped with 3D measuring machines, enabling quick response to customer test-cutting requests. A total of 15 staff members are stationed at the new center.
