THK strengthens production capacity at Chinese plant

THK, a leading machine components manufacturer, announced on July 13, 2021 that it will build new plants on the premises of THK MANUFACTURING OF CHINA (CHANGZHOU) and THK MANUFACTURING OF CHINA (LIAONING), China. Demand for THK’s products like linear motion system has been expanding rapidly in the Chinese market since the latter half of 2020. THK will strengthen its local production capacity in China to capture the strong demand of the machine tool and electronics industries.

The production items at Changzhou plant are linear motion system related parts and units. The new plant is scheduled to establish in March 2022. The total floor area is about 15,000 square meters. The total construction cost is about 80 million yuan（about 12 million U.S. dollars）. The production items at Liaoning plant include LM guides and actuators. The completion of new plant is scheduled in January 2021. The total floor area is about 25,000 square meters. The total construction cost is about 150 million yuan（about 23 million U.S. dollars）.
