Nakamura-Tome Precision Industry, a builder of multi-tasking machines, held an open house at its head office factory for three days from December 8 to 10, 2021. The number of visitors was about 300 over the three days.
Under the theme of “Making Multi-Tasking Machines More Accessible,” the company announced two new functions to enhance the usability of multi-tasking machines: one is a function to automate part of the tool measuring process, which used to be done manually. All the operator has to do is move the turret to a specific position with a manual pulse hand, and the rest of the measurement work can be automated. This can reduce human errors such as forgetting to measure and variation in measurement quality.
Another one is the feature to easily generate programs for multiple turrets. “We have developed a function that solves the machining problem of setup so that anyone can use the multi-tasking machine easily, quickly, and accurately,” emphasized Mr. Shogo Nakamura, managing Director of Nakamura-Tome Precision Industry.
