From April 2021, Nakamura-Tome Precision Industry, a multi-tasking machines’ builder, switched the power of its head office factory to Hokuriku Electric Power’s special electric plan. Since this plan uses electricity generated by hydroelectric power generation, CO2 emissions can be reduced to zero. By switching the plan, the company will reduce CO2 emissions by about 6500 tons per year.
Senior managing director Shogo Nakamura commented, “As a machine tool builder, we considered that it was essential to make machines which are kind to people and the earth.”
