Machine tool trading company Yamazen has installed “t-Sort” sorting robots of 24 units developed by robotics start-up +Automation at its logistics base in Isesaki City, Gunma Prefecture. The robots were installed in November 2021, and installation cost has not been disclosed. The logistics base is its Japan’s largest distribution center for household goods.
Workers used to manually sort products in the warehouse, but after the introduction of t-Sort, workers only need to scan the JAN code of the product and place it on the t-Sort, which has improved the efficiency of logistics operations.
