Kawasaki Heavy Industries launches PCR testing service in Kobe

Kawasaki Heavy Industries, a leading heavy industry manufacturer, has started a free PCR testing service using an automated PCR testing robot system on the basement floor of Kobe Crystal Tower in Chuo-ku, Kobe on February 1, 2022. This is the second PCR testing service the company has offered, following the one in Tokyo in January this year.

Last year, the company developed an automated PCR testing robot system. This system can automate the whole process of PCR testing, from acceptance, specimen collection, testing and result notification. By providing PCR testing services using this system, Kawasaki Heavy Industries cooperates in the countermeasures against COVID-19 infection in Japan and contribute to the resumption and recovery of economic and social activities.
