TAKAMAZ Machinery, a manufacturer of NC lathes for the automotive industry, held a ceremony on February 7, 2022, to mark the completion of construction of a new factory called “Asahi Factory” on a site adjacent to its main factory. The ceremony was attended by about 25 people, including President Soichiro Takamatsu and other company officials, as well as construction company officials.
The total floor area of the new factory is about 12,000 square meters. The company invested about 3.5 billion yen in the project. It will start operation in April 2022, and will be responsible for assembling machine tools and processing parts. The company will reinforce its production system to meet the strong demand for machine tools.
The company has installed state-of-the-art machinery and equipment, and has also considered the working environment from the perspective of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
